Missing the Point on Bill Nye

Judging from my Facebook home feed, Bill Nye has (once again) said some things monumentally stupid. As I scanned the episodes in his Netflix series “Bill Nye Saves the World,” I was reminded of Joel Achenbach’s March, 2015, National Geographic article titled, “Why Do Many Reasonable People Doubt Science?” Achenbach says something very revealing about […]

Reflecting on Bitter Sufferings and Death

I’m pulling thoughts together on a pro-life presentation I’ll be giving next week and have settled on ‘suffering’ as my topic, as it is an underlying rationale to much that we call the ‘culture of death,’ but is not usually targeted directly.  By the time this little essay is done, you’ll see how ‘suffering’ and […]

Review: Richard Weikart’s “The Death of Humanity and the Case for Life”

In a recent post, I argued that one of the tell-tale signs of whether or not a viewpoint does not correspond with reality is whether or not it results in death; one’s own death, or the death of another, or many others.  Supposedly, humans these days are smarter than any humans that have ever existed.  […]

The Gospel According to Gun Control

On the face of it, liberal arguments for gun control are utterly irrational, with no redeeming value whatsoever, except, perhaps, the good intentions that we charitably allow are genuine.   The internal inconsistencies of the arguments, and the complete detachment from reality that they represent, leave one baffled.  The position can be understood, however, if you […]

The REAL “Jaffe Memo”

Reconstructed from the original memo itself, this new version of the “Jaffe Memo” brings to light the lengths that proponents of ‘abortions on demand’ were willing to go to implement their agenda.

Anthony Horvath Public Testimony: Principles of self-government, rather than ‘pro-life’ principles, are controlling regarding Planned Parenthood

On September 2nd, 2015, I had the opportunity to give testimony for the Wisconsin state assembly’s committee on health concerning AB 310, a bill that would compel the state of Wisconsin to compete for Title X Federal dollars, which presently go exclusively to Planned Parenthood.  By the time I had my chance to speak, many […]

You Reap What You “Roe”

A guest submission by Brian Horvath: In 1973 Roe vs. Wade legalized a woman’s right to abort a human being. The science involved in abortion is unchallenged: A woman who aborts is aborting a human being. We know that humans produce humans, not elephants, dogs, cats, etc. Additionally, we know that being which is within […]

Gay Expectations for the Christian and Gay Marriage

Losing the battle on ‘gay marriage’ should be a stark reminder that this world is not our world. The worldly fight for the world tooth and nail because it, literally, is all they’ve got. We cannot fight their fights in the same way that they fight them. We can, however, fight tooth and nail for the health and well-being of our own families, minding our own business, and seeing to it that as the Titanic goes down, our own children, at least, are on the lifeboats.

Black Lives Matter, Abortion, Propaganda, Humanitarian Punishment, and Self-Rule

Why should the vast majority of the population, which is innocent, be made to pay for the crimes of the few, by removing everyone’s freedoms and liberties just so you can feel better?

The Little Black Book: How to be Gay without Killing Yourself and Others

One day you wake up and you realize that a vast number of our fellow citizens simply do not live in the same universe as we do. You cannot persuade people who live in this alternate universe. They are as beyond our reach as one universe is beyond the reach of another universe in the Multiverse. They must instead be out-voted.

Infanticide, Euthanasia, and Progressive Spin Doctors: Snopes

I’ve always viewed Snopes.com in much the same way I view Wikipedia–at best, a good place to start your research, and never to be trusted on its face. More justification for my skepticism was provided to me recently by a friend,  here.    The Snopes article attacks this article here, titled, “TRENDING: More college students support […]

Some Vaccines Are Made from the Remains of Aborted Babies–So What? The ‘silver lining’ argument rebutted.

Some vaccines are produced using the cell lines derived from aborted children. Isn’t vaccination making the best out of a bad situation? But what if ‘making the best out of a bad situation’ is a recipe for creating even more ‘badness?’
