empowered part 2

I know the pain, the heartache, the sorrow, the angst of being hurt. Some of us have faced some real pain. And one thing that is interesting and worth saying is that our personalities do matter. One can roll with the punches while another gets knocked over.
I was one who got knocked over.
It doesn’t mean that the one who rolls is handling it any better than me. Typically, people who roll either are happy-go-lucky or they tend to get a chip on their shoulder. Either way, we all hurt in different ways.
The remedy is still the same. Let it go.
And truly, the only way you can let it go is when you know that someone hasn’t let it go. God.
The Bible tells us that God pities us since we live in a fallen world that is affected by sin. His heart is towards us. That means He pities the offender and the offended.
It’s not that we can just go around doing whatever we please. It’s that there is a compassion toward mankind that is beyond our compassion. And when we “get that”, we take on God’s heart.
The Bible tells us that God is a comforter. I don’t know how He does it, I just know He does. But, we have to see things His way. It’s like Dorothy and the ruby slippers. Even tho she had to go through some things to figure it out, the slippers were not ripped away from her because she didn’t understand. Yes there is sowing and reaping. But God’s ways are to always work it out for our good.
Sometimes I see it like God is up there moving the pieces of our life around every time we take a wrong path. He sees it all. He has the bird’s eye view. We don’t. And if He says to forgive then it has to be because He knows those ruby slippers are what has the power to help us.
And there’s no place like home.
