{"id":5481,"count":0,"description":"He is best known as the man who betrayed Jesus. Though he was one of the 12 disciples, he betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver, leading to Jesus\u2019 arrest.\r\n\r\nJudas was one of the 12 disciples, Jesus\u2019 closest companions. Although a specific scene of Jesus calling Judas is not included in the Gospels, as it is for others such as Philip, Nathaniel, and Peter, he is included in the list of the 12 from early on (e.g. Mark 3:19).\r\n\r\nThe tipping point of sorts for Judas was his famous betrayal of Jesus. After recounting the story of the perfume (which is included in all four Gospels), both Matthew and Mark immediately follow this scene with that of Judas\u2019 deal with those who wanted to kill Jesus.\r\n\r\nThroughout the Gospels, Jesus repeatedly predicted that He would be betrayed (e.g. John 6:70-71). However, this betrayal came to a culmination on the night of the Last Supper, Jesus\u2019 final meal with His disciples before He was taken away and crucified.","link":"https:\/\/sntjohnny.com\/front\/tag\/judas-iscariot","name":"Judas Iscariot","slug":"judas-iscariot","taxonomy":"post_tag","meta":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/sntjohnny.com\/front\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags\/5481","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/sntjohnny.com\/front\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/sntjohnny.com\/front\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/taxonomies\/post_tag"}],"wp:post_type":[{"href":"https:\/\/sntjohnny.com\/front\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts?tags=5481"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
