People for the Ethical Treatment of Video (PETV)

A few weeks ago, James Jay Lee stormed the Discovery Channel network. There was a man who understood the power of video. In his screed, published online, he decried the shows “encouraging the birth of any more parasitic human infants and the false heroics behind those actions.” Instead, he argued, Discovery should push “programs encouraging human sterilization and infertility.”

James Jay Lee was in a desperate spot. He knew that the fate of the planet hung in the balance. The earth, literally, needed saving. The people who knew this best were actually fueling the death of the earth. He wrote: “You MUST KNOW the human population is behind all the pollution and problems in the world, and YET you encourage the exact opposite instead of discouraging human growth and procreation. Surely you MUST ALREADY KNOW this!” (Emphasis his)

And how did Mr. Lee come to this startling revelation? In other online writings he indicated that he had been ‘awakened’ by Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth.”

Dear Republicans: You are Fired

If it weren’t for the nominations of two Supreme Court justices who will rule by the letter of the law (we hope… we might wonder if there have been some exceptions now) I would consider my votes for the Republicans the last 8 years an utter, and total, waste. As in, if I had voted for a pile of excrement that would have been more worthwhile, as excrement can at least be used as fertilizer. While I shudder to think what life would be like since 2000 if Al Gore or John Kerry were the president, the salient point is that in the end, under Republican control, there was hardly any noticeable difference. Maybe I amend my statement somewhat- I am glad that Bush was at the helm on 9-11 and my only regrets concerning Afghanistan and Iraq is that we didn’t really fight to win there, either. But I digress.

The point is that I don’t frankly care what you say or do at this point, Republicans. I don’t believe you. I

Wisdom is Proved Right by Her Children; Evil Proved Evil by His

This weekend I read one of the scariest things I have heard coming out of the Global Warming crowd. That is saying something. I have documented elsewhere on this blog some other things they’ve said, like comparing denying man-made Global Warming to denying the holocaust. This is so disgusting I almost sat down and wrote a book exposing the various principles at work in it but stopped when I thought of at least one that is already written: C.S. Lewis’s The Abolition of Man.

In summary, the London Times article references a certain Jonathon Porritt, a Global Warming burearucrat who reportedly says,

“I am unapologetic about asking people to connect up their own responsibility for their total environmental footprint and how they decide to procreate and how many children they think are appropriate,” Porritt said.

“I think we will work our way towards a position that says that having more than two children is irresponsible.

Auto Execs Drive not fly, Global Warming Advocates keep flying

This is just stupid. I am getting tired of these media generated firestorms. As a case in point, the same media that hammered the auto executives for flying in on their private jets barely make a peep as Al Gore flies around the world in his private jet. And if the Global Warming fanatics are right, then this is a far more serious issue, as it means that Al Gore is destroying the very world he aims to save.

Global Warming Proponents are like… Creationists? Really?

Ironically, Plimer sees similarities between global warming proponents and creationists, when he really should see similarities between global warming proponents and evolutionists. The creationist example is wholly inapt even on his own terms- by his view, creationism is based on ‘holy books’ but global warming, we are told, is backed by hard, irrefutable science. And I would be willing to say that global warming probably is backed by ‘hard, irrefutable science’ … when by ‘science’ we mean the bastardized and philosophically driven ‘methodology’ that passes as science today in contrast to true science which actually relies on empirical demonstration.
