Barna Reflects on 6 ‘Megathemes’ Killing the Church

Not too long ago I created a website called The Death of Christianity.  Its intent was to distill into one place my thoughts regarding the crisis facing the church today.    These thoughts have developed after almost 20 years of Christian apologetics, but I bring to bear numerous studies to show that my perceptions have reflected a true reality.  This week, Barna published another article detailing 6 ‘megathemes’ they had detected through surveying in 2010.

Five Things Killing Christianity: Is the End of Christianity At Hand?

Because of continued interest in my analysis of trends in the Christian church, I have set aside a separate website for managing that perspective.  The new website is called, appropriately, “The Death of Christianity.”   Or, www.deathofchristianity.com.  Today’s post addresses the topic of a presentation that I will be delivering at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Macomb, Mi, on Wednesday, Oct. 21st.  The topic is:  “Five Things that are Killing Christianity.”

Michigan Pro-Life and Apologetics Speaking Tour in October

I will be traveling throughout Michigan from about Oct. 15th to Oct 22nd speaking in various venues, primarily in regards to pro-life issues. See: www.wechoselife.com.

Many of these presentations are at high schools and other places that are not open to the public.  However, three of the ones that are open to the public are also apologetic related, especially the St. Matthew event where I argue the reliability of the Bible and the St. Peter’s event where I discuss challenges to the Christian faith (topic title:  “Five things killing Christianity.”
