Knights of Contention, Episode 3

Not too long ago, I began hosting what I hope will be bi-weekly open discussions via chat/voice. Another one is coming up. Tuesday, Nov 9th, at 9:30 p.m. CST.

The topic has not yet been decided. Last time we debated whether or not we should exterminate the human race. And if that would be wrong. heh heh

Here is the direct link to the conference ‘room’ where the conversation will take place. I’ll be in there in the evening to help people with technical problems and the like. Direct Link: Knights of Contention

If you want a reminder, drop a comment here or email me at sntjohnny@sntjohnny.com and request it.

My own loose ends, Watson and Herr Professor

I breezed into Herr Professor’s lair to see if there was anything I ought to respond to.  I too enjoyed the exchange, though I wonder if he ever really appreciated the points I was making.  Things could go round and round, but that is what I have a discussion forum for. At risk of setting […]

Is religion dangerous? Continued thoughts…

This particular question has been coming up fairly often of late and has even been treated on my forum (www.sntjohnny.com/smf) and in an audio debate (hosted somewhere on this domain). When the question is carefully phrased we are helped greatly in answering it because there are some senses in which we could agree that yes, […]

Christian Education and Apologetics

This is under discussion on my forum, here. My own story is that I went through 12 years of Christian education and went to a Christian university to be a Christian pastor and promptly was reduced to atheism or something very close to it.  When I returned to Christianity it was with a desire to […]

A thought on ‘evidence’ and Christianity…

There is a thread on my forum right now where I discuss whether or not two of the members are in fact the same person.  (Click here to read it).  The conversation has gone just about how I expected it to.  It was dismissed by the interested parties, then as it became evident I was […]
