Methodological Naturalism, Falsifiability, and Evolution: A Challenge

It is generally agreed that for something to be considered scientific, it must at least in principle be falsifiable.

Let me suggest that evolutionary theory in all of its most controversial aspects is, at rock bottom, unfalsifiable.

Evolution is Unfalsifiable in Principle and in Practice

Young Earth Creationists (YECcers henceforth) are on the receiving end of a lot of disdain these days. One of the common complaints directed at it is that it does not present itself as a legitimate scientific theory. It is my view that it is at least as scientific as evolution itself is, drawing conclusions and making inferences based on present data. As the Intelligent Design movement arose in the 90s, the accusation was made- and is still being made- that Intelligent Design is Creationism in disguise.
