Popularly engineered by Trump during the 2016 US elections, it proved to be the one effective tool of fending off potentially infected persons from entering the country. This is the same as prohibiting entry of an undocumented person from our borders. It is the assurance, safety precaution that the people from the inside of the border will not have the chance of getting inconvenienced by people from outside (even if it is unintentional).
Almost all countries hit by coronavirus pandemic have shut their borders to prevent further infection from people going in their countries, with the exception of essential personnel. Besides, a border shutdown, if there is any, will not be permanent. Also, there would always be accompanying reasons why it is being carried out.
Lots to say these days, but I have a life. It may surprise some–it won’t surprise those who know me best–that my life hasn’t changed much due to these lockdowns. When you are a quasi-prepper who anticipated such things years ago, you’re already well ahead of the curve, ya know? So, my life continues basically as normal, which is to say, I’ve got things to do!
But I just wanted to take a minute to highlight the curious case of Germany.
