Tag: death rate
(or mortality rate) Literally, the ratio of deaths to the population of a particular area or during a particular period of time, usually calculated as the number of deaths per one thousand people per year. For this example, it is an average of people falling casualties to COVID-19.
Currently, the death rate for this coronavirus pandemic globally is at 3-4%. This is only for known or reported cases. However, it is statistically clear that
COVID-19 is far deadly compared to the usual seasonal flu. Probably, because the risk of infection is high and that no known cure, treatment is still available.
