Tag: Nature of God
God is omniscient (all-knowing), omnipotent (all-powerful), omnipresent (is present at every point in space/places). These are His incommunicable attributes that Christians (especially Catholics) believe to define God's nature. Or, at least an attempt to partly understand, comprehend God's power, knowledge, and presence.
Although, none of these words are actually mentioned in the scriptures, evidences that can make people conclude that God does possess these attributes are almost everywhere in the Bible.
Also, the “omni” attributes of God must be understood correctly if they are to be considered as coherent doctrines. When they are understood correctly, they are a source of great comfort to Christians and provoke us to worship our awesome God. However, to those who are running and/or hiding from God, they are a source of great fear and distress.
