Perhaps the most contested, most frequently crossed international boundary in the world, with approximately 350 million legal crossings taking place annually. It was the primary concern for President Trump to secure it so that illegal immigration can be controlled, giving fair treatment to those who come in legally through legal ports of entry.
For COVID-19, the country’s southern border has been closed to all nonessential travel and trade in an effort to combat the spread of the virus spread. The policy was a binational effort and is to be reviewed after 30 days.
Lots to say these days, but I have a life. It may surprise some–it won’t surprise those who know me best–that my life hasn’t changed much due to these lockdowns. When you are a quasi-prepper who anticipated such things years ago, you’re already well ahead of the curve, ya know? So, my life continues basically as normal, which is to say, I’ve got things to do!
But I just wanted to take a minute to highlight the curious case of Germany.
