(or Seasonal flu, Influenza) It occurs mostly in the fall and winter, however, influenza viruses circulate year-round. Most of the time, flu activity peaks between December and February, and can last up to May. This is all according to the tracked data from CDC.
Still from CDC data, compared to COVID-19, seasonal flu accounts to an estimated 36 million illnesses, 370,000 hospitalizations and 22,000 deaths this season. For COVID-19, cases in the United States found that, among 4,226 reported cases, at least 508 people, or 12% were hospitalized.
Lots to say these days, but I have a life. It may surprise some–it won’t surprise those who know me best–that my life hasn’t changed much due to these lockdowns. When you are a quasi-prepper who anticipated such things years ago, you’re already well ahead of the curve, ya know? So, my life continues basically as normal, which is to say, I’ve got things to do!
But I just wanted to take a minute to highlight the curious case of Germany.
