Still from CDC data, compared to COVID-19, seasonal flu accounts to an estimated 36 million illnesses, 370,000 hospitalizations and 22,000 deaths this season. For COVID-19, cases in the United States found that, among 4,226 reported cases, at least 508 people, or 12% were hospitalized.
